Our live in care offers constant 24/7 care that is tailored to your needs from a dedicated carer who is there to help and lives in your home with you.
Live-in-care offers you the opportunity to have one of our expertly trained carers live with you in your own home, supporting you at all times. The carers will provide physical and practical care, a source of emotional support and companionship. Our carers have our core values and ethos, showing empathy, kindness, and are paired with clients on a like to like basis.
At Susan House, we understand that being looked after, or looking after a loved one with care needs, can at times be overwhelming. This is why we provide a live in care that is ensures you are at the centre of the care being provided to you, making sure individual needs, routines and preferences are considered.
We offer live-in care for clients who need regular support for some ailments, but do not need constant care. Some of these reasons may be:
Loved ones unable to visit
Living alone
Frailty
Palliative needs
Physical disability
Advanced dementia
It might be that you would prefer a carer to handle personal car, or loved ones live too far away and unable to visit regularly
If you or your loved one lives alone, a live-in carer provides reliable support and a source of companionship
It may be that you are prone to frequent falls, or you are unable to carry out day to day household tasks, our carers are able to assist with both housework and mobility
If you have been diagnosed with a terminal or progressive condition and require support in managing the symptoms, our carers are able to help.
If you require consistent personal aid around your home or have severe physical needs, a live-in carer
If your loved one cannot be left alone in their home, or is living with advanced dementia, a friendly live-in carer is able to offer assistance and stability.

Our carers provide sensitive and discreet personal care, respecting your boundaries and helping with your intimate routines. Such as assisting with, but not limited to getting dressed, toileting, bathing and more

Our live-in carer will be able to prepare your favourite meals when requested, as well as tidying up. They are able to provide nutritious foods that adhere to your individual dietary plan

Companionship
Our carers can be there to offer you support, be it having someone to share a biscuit with or watch a tv programme or pop over to the club with

Complex care
If you have complex care needs, our live-in carers can receive additional nurse-led training that will equip and ensure they can offer Catheter and stoma management. We can offer support for the most complex conditions, including types of cancer and dementia

Household chores
Depending on your individual needs, our carers can take care of some or all of your household needs, ensuring your home is kept clean and tidy for a sustained relaxing environment

Getting around
In promoting your independence, our live in carer can accompany you whenever you like, be it to the shops, a weekend away, the community centre or visiting a friend

Once initial contact has been made, we will aim to carry out an assessment within 24 – 48 hours.
This assessment is a ‘get to know you’ assessment so we can really understand you, which enables us to understand how best we can support you.
